true freedom..
i’ve always thought freedom comes when one isnt bound by rules or the confines and expectations of others and also when one gets to do what they love doing..
but today i am reminded of another form of freedom. one thats just as liberating and probably just as satisfying.
for years i’ve been holding on.
holding on to something thats way past its expiration date.
like what they say, whatever thats worth it wont wait around for you to come around.
the past few days i guess my entire being and soul has finally come to the resolute finality and decision that i’ve had enough of self torture and that this can not continue any longer.
i know that i’ve got to gain back my own self worth, pick myself up and start moving on.
so i decided with absolute resolution to let go.
obviously it wasnt all happy happy joy joy instantly…
i had a couple of days of feeling as though my heart has turned to stone and there was a constant tightness in my chest.. though it wasnt a bad sort of stone or tightness.
but today, it finally happened.
the burden lifted off my chest, off my being, off my soul!
i felt happy!
cautiously happy, but happy nonetheless.
it was as though i just got a new lease in life and i could sing and dance in the rain again and not just look at it forlornly with that deep sadness of what could be or use to be.

i truly believe that every human being has an inborn limit to the amount of self pity and torture which one inflicts on oneself.
and even though it takes time, however long that takes, you’ll get to a point where you hit rock bottom and realise that this shit cant continue any longer and that you deserve better.
and thats when things will change.
you will change
your soul blooms like a new flower
your heart drains all the pollution its contained all those time and starts letting the rainbow back in
you
become
free
the chains drop off and the shackles melts away.
and you start to love again
i know how hard it is to be in that dark hole and go “what light?!”
and i hope no one ever has to be in that situation
but i have faith that whomever you are, wherever you are, your soul will know when’s your limit and give your soul a good hard shake into letting go :)
